Sad. I remember going as a kid in the 90s. It was a big event for the neighborhood.
Six Flags in Atlanta has headed in that direction as well. Shootings the last few years. A neighbor went last summer and said there were two fights in the time they were there.
Curious how people can afford these theme parks so easily that they can use their time getting into mischief.

This sounds like a place many urbanites will be frequenting. It’ll be a no go for my family

The one in Gulfport is very nice. They have a great staff which I think is a huge factor in their success. Plenty of hood rats in Biloxi / Gulfport but they tend to stay away. Probably because the staff and management don’t put up with it.
If they can install the same type of management and staff in BR, it can be successful.
That’s a huge ask.

It was great when it first opened and they had the weekly concerts.
Not my style, but they even had Panic at Disco one time and it was so packed that people couldn't get out of the crowd to hydrate and it was a big ordeal.

I'ma take it one-two, way back
Like a silk wife beater and a wave cap
Or the wave pool at Blue Bayou
And I waved, fool, as I blew by you

As long as they don’t shoot teenagers out of cannons anymore, they should be ok for couple months.

I’m pretty sure Andy Grammar was there as well at some point.

Had a buddy who worked there in college. Dude finger blasted so many chicks under the tilt a whirl in between shifts. We used to call him mantis in college. You should’ve watched him feed.

Aren't there several nicknames in existence for that place whose mentions will result in a ban?
Blue Bayou threads are a notorious honeytrap for bans.

Based on the last few times I drove past Blue Bayou when it was open, I hope they installed an oil skinmer, or something else to filter out the hair products used by democratic clientele.

Late 70's at Airline and FL. 6-12 hour days, $2/hr with nothing extra for any OT.
$144/wk was good money for a 15 y.o. kid

Too late for that. It’s the only thing they are offering right now. $70 and it comes with unlimited fountain drinks.
