It’s the frequency. There is no let up. 95% of the topics on this board since February-March have been either about Covid, BLM, politics or some variation of such. I used to venture to the political board but would come back to the OT for the “brain candy”, if you will. But now the OT is as heavy as the poli board.

No one here is sheltered if they’ve read the OT long enough. There’s a reason I don’t really watch the news; it’s non stop doom and gloom and it’s bad for anyone’s psyche.

Exactly.

The same people that boast about how they got rid of all social media because it was too toxic or whatever, just turn around and come here and use this as a substitute for their social media rants.

Like it or not, this site is a form of social media.

Well, I for one would prefer that these proud social media abstainers would actually use that outlet to bitch and argue, and let us have the OT back. I want my tabloid, local gossip, and inane musings site back.
