True but it kinda sucks when you sit back and watch them with all their stuff and you realize "oh I got a freaking tie and cologne".

Same here. I'm happy if the kids are happy. I wouldn't expect my wife to be able to find something I really want because I usually buy what I want.

If I know of a home run will do it but otherwise don't want to guess

Most wives could just act like super sluts, bring a friend home, or let you bang a hooker and it would be good enough

When married with no kids, it’s all about us. After kids, Christmas is all about them.
The wife and I would buy something for ourselves and maybe get a small item for the other sometimes. It worked for us at the time. RIP sweetie.....

Yeah its more about the kids around here. Wife and me buy what we need for ourselves and exchange one gift Christmas Day.
Although this is the first year my parents havent gotten any of their kids a single gift (usually a small amount of cash and one gift). It bothered me more than I thought it would, but they now have 7 grandkids to spoil so I got over it pretty quick.

I am pretty particular about what I want as far as gifts. Would rather a shirt and pants and I can go buy whatever I want whenever I want.

It'll suck when my nephew is too old/cool for Santa.
I have too much stuff and not enough space. I'm more than happy to get edibles, gas cards, etc.
