I saw this tweet yesterday and just couldn't bring myself to posting it here, because of its utter, yet typical, race baiting CNN tweet. They went over the top here.
They are implying that doctors are being racist by "caring more" for white babies than black babies.
I'd be willing to bet that, in fact it is the complete opposite.
Due to typical health differences of the mother (which is the cause of the infant deaths) of blacks typically being too young, more obese, possibly less pregnancy care of their bodies, etc. the doctors will have to spend disproportionate amount of time assisting the "problem" cases, whereas the healthier births just go about a quieter routine, with out extra observation.

Doesn't make sense. They don't have one doctor per delivery who stays there from admission to discharge, so there's no way to attribute responsibility on the macro level.

There’s no way they accounted for the all the controls and dynamics needed to make this statement. The study is behind a pay wall, so I guess I’ll never know.
