NP. Try that number ASAP. Both the dogs are champions and will be gone soon. The stud is the best dog I've ever hunted with and the female has already retrieved over 1000 ducks in 3 years

I have a buddy that has some great puppies right now, I was just talking to him tonight about them and he had some black ones. Both parents are great dogs and they are guaranteeing their hips, eyes etc for 26 moths. Let me know and I can put you in touch

Don't go to a breeder. Get a shelter dog. Or, if you must have a purebred, use a breed rescue organization.

How about it's his money and he can spend it anywhere on any dog he sees fit.

I will never understand why people will spend money buying a dog when you can just go adopt one.

When it comes to a dog you need certain traits from, especially a retriever, it's worth every penny. Over time we spend thousands on dog and even more on all the money invested in the hunts we rely on them for. For a lap dog or a house dog, adopt if you want. However, that's a tough gamble on a dog you and others will be counting on for many seasons to come.

Very true. The cheapest part of owning a dog is the dog, especially a field lab. Improve your odds of success by knowing what you are buying.

I have a fox red female (very big--70 pounds during hunting season) with very high end breeding/bloodline. She sleeps with the kids and is very calm. She is one series shy of being a master retriever, but I stopped bc it was too much to travel around for all of the runs. I am breeding her to a fox red male in the summer. I have two options, one ran the grand two years in a row but only has good blood lines (very big male). The other only hunts per the owners request but comes from the best yellow lab stud in the country. She goes into heat in August. Let me know if you are interested.
