Buckwheat.

The first black gang member on television. He pioneered the way for others.

Me too. How about the real live Simon Legree. Meet William Ellison, ... no, not the white one. The black guy he raised, freed and later took his name.

Here is just a taste of what kind of a slave owner he was .... yes Virginia, black slave owner. Not a good one either.

He sold one of his daughters to another slave owner.

He wasn't all bad though. He left $200 to her in his will.

Why not just focus on random everyday black people who are have done or are doing something cool?

You can use Fred and Lamont Sanford. They sold junk to get by and never talked about Government assistance on any episodes. Fred was a proud junk man and his only complaint in life was Aunt Ester. Easier times i guess

Hey volod, did you know that in 1860 28% of the free blacks in NOLA owned slaves.

They had made it to the big time under more than difficult conditions. Start some threads on them.

He wasn't American, but he was the greatest ever. Alexandre Dumas - Author of The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers. Only a handful of authors that can top that.

I'm really growing to hate you so very much, Vernon.

I mean as a poster. You're still a big jolly lovable fricking dork as a person.

Then so are Oktoberfest, Columbus Day, St. Andrew's Day, and St. Patrick's

Don't forget about thanksgiving, which is probably the most racist holiday of them all.
