I too understand they have policy to follow. On the other hand that does not excuse their inability to act professional and represent the company they work for in a positive manner. Don’t like it? Don’t work in a position that is customer facing.
He fricked up and didn't show up in time based on Frontier's policy and didn't want to accept the consequences of that.
His "but, but, but, I'm the exception" attitude set them off and they handled it poorly (de-escalate?).

My full writeup on the story.
Essentially the passenger attempted to check-in 30 minutes prior to departure while Frontier has a published, 60 minute cut-off time. The carrier also states you must be boarded 20 minutes prior to departure, leaving him 10 minutes to check-in, clear security, and get to the gate.
Also, Frontier charges a $25 agent assist fee should you need to speak with an agent instead of checking in online.

I try to avoid as much contact as possible at the airport. I check in with kiosk. I use precheck or clear.
I try and avoid this.
I fly Spirit a lot so I've seen this shite go down.
