I'm glad I saw some of WikiTiger's posts years ago. I didn't invest initially, but it gave me an understanding of the principles and ethos.
MEXC via a VPN is an option for lower fees.
Coinbase's fees get relatively high depending on what you're doing, but they're a legit exchange. Armstrong did a podcast with Lex Fridman a few years back. He values decentralization even though he's running a CEX. I was genuinely impressed by him in the podcast.
There's a lot of utility, contrary to what Longhorn is posting. Much of the newer technology has far surpassed Bitcoin.
Hedera, Render, Filecoin, etc. Many of the new projects are focused solely on financial aspects, but not all.

I'm curious about your thoughts on Blackrock and Fidelity recommending individuals incorporate crypto into their portfolios.
BlackRock and Fidelity are in the business of making money.
Increasing broader exposure to crypto, whether directly or through ETFs, drives price up, increasing the value of their holdings. They didn't create a crypto ETF out of the goodness of their hearts so you can make money. They did it so THEY can make money off of YOUR exposure. You might win a little, they win a LOT.
BlackRock and Fidelity can hedge against just about anything. If they can continue to drive price up, then good for them. If it shits the bed, they'll yawn and move on since any losses will be offset somewhere else. They will not lose either way, rest assured.
YOU are in the game.
BlackRock and Fidelity are not in the game. They ARE the game.

It will, but it's gonna be a minute. Halving is next month. Real peak will be next year.
I've been DCA'n BTC for years now. Wish I had more.
HODL!

Not saying it peaks in late 2025, seems kinda late with the gains it's had already. If it kept going up until late 2025, you'd see 500K+

Nfts were never a store of value. I own a lot of nfts and the general consensus was/is that it's a very niche market in a very risky investment field. Like crypto, 99% are complete trash. I got lucky and got in early on a blue chip nft but mostly everything else has been a miss. Nfts do have their place though in the market.
Was so annoying watching them turn what will ultimately be one of the greatest tools created by blockchain into a monkey trading card scheme. Personally I want an NFT ballot for voting. Shut all chance of cheating completely down.

Don't disagree at all.
The underlying ideas/technologies are not the issue, in my opinion. I'm simply bearish on some of the use cases - specifically the "how can we separate people from their money" ones.
Blockchain, NFTs, etc. = good.
Crypto (as it stands now) and "monkey trading card schemes", not so much.

It is but I'm also part of the blame. Crypto was getting boring and my buddy turned me onto the nft craze. It's a fun area but it's filled with broke foreign people
I wish they would get away from the trying to make video games crap. They don't have the funding for it

Needing to make a decision on my Doge. Feel like I need to sell because I am way up. Would be pretty pissed if it jumped up to .25 or so though.

Take the alt coin run up and use those profits to buy BTC. Alt coins are fun but they're not a long hold. Flip them to BTC and HODL on for good.

NFTs were a "store of value" too,
I made a decent amount on NFTs, but I never believed the hype. It was just a way to make money.

Just sell your initial investment + 10-20%. You don't have to get completely out.
