I that a lot of SEALs have never done anything else in the military. The SEALs for some reason have recently taken to rejecting guys from other branches or other parts of the Navy, they'll only take fresh recruits.
This is the opposite of what MARSOC, SF, and other groups do

For the most part, one goes into the SEAL program to become a SEAL...Some go to rate schools first, but then they go to training...
