I played Scenes from an Italian Restaurant at my wedding reception.

My dad developed NPH. Went in for treatment and died due to complications of it. Hopefully Billy has better treatment with his money.

I have a brother in law diagnosed with it too.
He is declining surgery, saying that no one is messing with his brain.

Can't say I blame him.

Watched some clips of Scott Adams the last couple of days. He's terminal.
Said "Nothing lasts forever."

Unpopular take but he has better songs than Elton John

That’s not the same as saying his voice is shot. He still performs those songs very well. Basically, every performer at his age will have changes in some of their tonality. (McCarthy, Elton John, etc.)
Doesn’t mean their voice is shot

No argument here.
And I like Elton.

he could work a room, voice has been shot since last century though
Not at all. Elton John has the shot voice. Elton sounds like the cowardly lion now. He still puts on a hell of a show.
But there's a difference. Elton still performs his songs in the original keys. Billy dropped down a couple of steps to fit his older voice.
Billy still sounds great and kills it.

Storm Front is a great album. Released in 1989.

Wow! Sorry to hear this. Billy Joel is truly a musical genius. I have been a fan of his for many years. Prayers sent for him & his family.

It changed over the years for sure, but I never thought he got ‘lazy’ with it. Even River of Dreams had some great moments on the album. I always enjoy listening to his Limited run XM station to hear the thought process behind the lyrics and music, and who he was trying to emulate.
