Bill Nye is a gaping a-hole.

Telling the ignorant they're ignorant and their attempts to spread their ignorance are a disservice to civilization is a "brown shirt" move? I wouldn't consider purveyors of myth as fact as "benign people".

I wonder if Ken Ham helped develop my favorite online video game:

ARK: Survival Evolved

Wow I just now realized the correlation of the title of the game - ARK. Coincidence?

If you take the bible literally, yes.

500 yr old people riding dinosaurs...I do think these people may suffer from a clinical derangement.

must have missed the verse where it says Noah single handedly built the ark despite being 500 years old and most likely having thousands of descendants.

Quit being so dramatic. Religiosity/spirituality has been around since the beginning of time across all cultures. As long as they aren't advocating child rape and beheadings it's really not hurting anything. In fact I would argue in many regards it helps more than hurts. Christian charities, faith-based hospitals, hot yoga (+ yoga pants), etc.

Well, Bill Nye is right. Anyone that actually believes in Noah's Ark story should be declared legally insane.

100% agree. So at this time, 85 sane people vs 147 insane people in this thread. A bunch of insane cis gingers got upset with your factual comment.

It's harmful? Should parents who take their kids there be investigated for child abuse?
So it isn't harmful to teach our children that all this animal incest is what led to the animals we have here today? Not to mention that incest that happened with Noah's own family. How da frick do you think teaching incest is ok for our children? This is what this does.

Do you really believe that man didn't rape and incest his way to where we are today? Your ancestors couldn't wait to stick is dick in a Neanderthal count.

The fact that that post has 149 downvotes as of this moment shows you how stupid the average poster on this board is.

I don't recall any dinosaurs in the bible. Where are these whackjobs getting this from?

Since they believe that the earth is only a few thousand years old, and they can't deny the existence of dinosaur fossils, they have to argue that man and dinosaurs coexisted.

Again. Why do franchises need public funding to build stadiums? Are private investors just to dumb? Maybe it has something to do with "they can" because the municipalities see the long term benefits.

They don't "need" public funding unlike this Ark did. They get it because they hold cities hostage by threatening to move while vastly overselling the long term economic impact of the statium. They could get by on private funding but that means they would have to share profits - why do that when you can get from us for free? The difference is this Ark couldn't get built without a TIF while the stadiums could. The fact that our elected officials give away millions in both instances is BS imo just much moreso in the case of this Ark.

I didn't call anyone a "brown shirt". I was responding to the dramatic.

I don't consider the spread of ignorance not hurting anyone. I don't care if the religious are religious and I intend no law to bar them from being religious or trying to spread their ignorance, but they should be prepared to face withering ridicule for the broadcasting of their superstition and ignorance.

I believe it took Noah something like 100 years to build his ark according to the book of Genesis.

I don't care if he took a 1000 years to build it. How the hell is a man from the stone age going to build a ship beyond any shipwright's ability until the late 19th century with nothing more than wood, rope, and clay?

You think the city leaders are concerned for the love the fans have for the team? They can hold the cities hostage because of the economic impact that leaving would have.
