Two things...
1. None of those would come close to fitting on a motorcycle.
2. None of those are illegal to own.

look like a mix of about 12 hunting rifles and shotguns which is really not many considering they arrested 170 people.
again, since when is that illegal to own those or carry them with you?
you do realize that this is Texas where TONS of people have guns that they carry in their vehicles dont you?

Did all the criminals arrive via motorcycle? Do MC gang members drive any other vehicles or are they limited to their scoots?
Is a sawed off shotgun legal in TX?

Not the issue here...

I get that..It is however very hard to look as innocent as DV would paint this, if you show up to a "restaurant" for a meeting and you have an arsenal..

Here's what is like to know. If this was a prearranged ambush like the cops claim, why didn't the Banditos have all those rifles and shotguns on them instead of locked up in cars? I've seen the crime scene photos right after this all went down. These photos show dead bikers laying around not even covered up yet. Strangely though none had a gun laying next to them.

12 guns out of 170 people is an arsenal now?
and yes it IS an issue here b/c you guys are assuming that simply owning and carrying = criminal intent which is nuts.

Common sense was tossed aside long ago in this thread

How many of those belonged to convicted felons?
Are those all the guns collected from the scene of the crime?

A large portion of the biker community are ardent 2nd amendment supporters. I'd imagine in Texas this is even more true than just about anywhere else. Most bikers I know, including myself, are conceal carry holders and usually have firearm on their person.
But having said that, nobody on a bike that day was armed with any of those shotguns and rifles in that picture.

as long as the barrel is 18 inches, yes
It the national law is that if its under 18 you have to pay a special tax and do a bit more w/background checks
as far as I know there isnt a ban on the shorter ones here
also, to technically be a shotgun it has to have a stock so that you can hold it to your shoulder when shooting.
if it doesnt have that, its not subject to the restrictions b/c its not really a SG

Not at all...
I assume that 90% of bikers are trash...Mugshots seem to agree with me on this..
I assume that if you bring more than a pocket knife, handgun to a meetup, that you are expecting trouble..

Go back and read this whole thread, somewhere the criminal records of all those arrested is linked, I won't spoil the suprise for ya.

Hmm....looks like the criminals were smart about which end to cut off then to stay in compliance with the laws. Good for them.
Set 'em all free. Let 'em fight it out in a remote area. Bag up the mess afterward.

I'm still looking for a sawed off

if a felon had a gun, arrest him b/c he is breaking the law
but you said to simply arrest everyone regardless of where they were or what they were doing at TP.
dont try and move the goalposts all the sudden and start trying to waffle by saying they might be owned by felons.

That looks like a publicity shot that cops typically set up for big arrests. They will spread all confiscated materials out on a table so the press can take pics to show what a great job the police are doing.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that those are most, if not all, of what they got. Otherwise it would all be out on the table for media to film/take pictures.

That's the thing. They don't want to educate themselves. They see the pictures and in their minds it's just "biker trash" and they deserve anything that happens to them. frick it that most of these bikers have no criminal record or even broke a single law that day. These people rather be able to sit back and pass judgement in ignorance. But I'll bet when the 4th of July rolls around they dust off their American flag and post it out as though they were proud Americans and real patriots.
Most of the clubs in the COCs are filled with law abiding good citizens. Make no mistake though, the COCs are run by the outlaw gangs and they use the COC to make money. A lot of clubs are bullied into joining the COC by the outlaw gangs. You are very naïve if you think any different.

It's on the table. Hard to see from the angle. I had to use photoshop to get a clear view of it.

Agreed. I wouldn't have arrested any of them. I would have made them call a time out, clear out the innocents and then let them go at it sans guns. Knifes, chains, vest extenders....have at it.

You talking about that pistol gripped Mossberg? That is sold in every gun store in America? That's not a sawed off, it's unmodified.
