Obviously, if there's equity, yes.

Let's be honest though-they want liquid assets like cash, guns, and clear property. LE is just like any other thief, except they have badge to go with the gun.

Oh I agree 100%, it is fricked. My buddy got $60,000 taken from his bank account when he was arrested for selling drugs even though he had proof it was all life insurance money from his mom, it had been deposited from the life insurance company and there had been no other activity on the account. He was indeed guilty of selling drugs but he wasn't a kingpin or anything, he sold just enough to cover his own addiction. He probably could have gotten it back if he could have hired an attorney but guess what, its a little tough to hire one after they take all of your $!

They do but the cops can sell the bikes, pay off the lienholders and keep the difference. Also, if the bike was in their fathers name it can still be seized.

I'm not saying you are wrong, again I am just relating to 3 occasions where I dealt with this particular violation of my rights 1st hand and the circumstances that caused my property to be returned without a lawyer and lengthy and expensive court battle.

The fact that you must prove that you didn't use ill gotten gains to purchase something and that it is just assumed is ridiculous.

Yes that is what they want but in this case they are looking to send a message so if they can make a penny from these bikes they are going to do it rather than return them.

Don't you get it yet? This childish melee caused a whole lot of biz to shut down for days. $100s of thousands, maybe millions in revs shut down. Tax revenues for kids the next school year. Little peeps didn't get to go to work and some peeps who might live paycheck to check may have to deal with a short check. how about all the costs to tax payers to bring peace. Legal bills, more tax payer money out the window. People died. People were injured. This stuff ain't funny at all.

And you're worrying about dudes freekin bikes. Seriously. That's the price you pay for being involved in this childishness that caused law abiding civilians, who were simply enjoying an otherwise beautiful Sunday afternoon to duck behind cars to protect their families. Sheesh.

Are you beginning to see it yet? If any of these "MC"s are legit, law abiding people, heads should be rolling. Changes should be being made as we speak, the whole MC community has lost a lot of respect from the civilians.

Doing a few weeks in county ain't that bad. Been der dun dat. Boring as crap, but damn. Just don't do that stuff no more.

Anyway, I'll get back with ya later bout that funny story. Back in da day when I met this very "Saint"full character. Don't, worry. Not violent. No one was harmed. Just funny in a kinda old school, way. ;-)

FWIW, I'm not a member of the Saints MC if that's what you're thinking.
