I doubt it. That would be like me joining the bloods just so i can rock a red bandana.

To be a Bandido you have to commit 2 felonies that are witnessed by at least 2 other Bandidos

If they have proof of 2 felonies, you will be less inclined to quit or snitch and it makes it tough to infiltrate as a cop

All MC's require you to "earn" your patch

not all but many involve some sort of crime to prove loyalty

Are the crimes committed in an effort to fund the club? Or is it just crack a skull of a rival on behalf of the club?

Could be anything, vandalism, theft, it doesn't have to be violence and probably very rarely is. These guys don't seek to be violent, they are businessmen in a sense and they run an empire and they do it very well.

They don't like things that draw attention to themselves, they don't want to be in the news.

I guess my question extends beyond Waco. These clubs are recognized as organized crime by the government so I assume there is a strong history of criminal behavior but are all of the members expected to contribute in some criminal manner?

For example, in the mafia, the lower ranks were expected to bring in dollars through various schemes. There were no members that didn't have at least a somewhat shady means for obtaining money, whether it be bookmaking or theft.

For a MC such as the Bandidos, Cossacks, etc. are there guys who are just in them to ride?

I can't and won't speak about things like that. Those are matters of private club business. All I can say is my club does not take part in criminal activity and if any member is found to be doing so, they face having their patch pulled.

This is true and one of the biggest reasons why went down in Waco doesn't add up.

Darth you've beaten this dead horse for nearly a week. Let it go. Jump over to the singularity thread on page two. I need your gravitational pull on this place to spark some debate on an actually interesting subject. Consider it a td favor.

Not as hard as you'd think.

It really doesn't. If it would have been the Hell's angels and the Bandidos it would have occurred in a remote location, the bodies would have disappeared and no one but them would have ever known.

Apparently 8 of the 9 dead are Cossacks. Looks like Texas is still a Red and Gold state.

Holy shite, Darth, it's a fricking miracle! This thread has gone four hours and four pages in a civilized manner.

I left this afternoon right after you flashed your pic and offered to answer questions. I thought to myself, why's this guy even try...
Then, I get home to find most people playing nice. You're a better, and certainly more patient, man than me!

The question though is were the people who killed them wearing red and gold or were they wearing blue?

I just hope we get an honest ballistics report from the feds. My guess would be a lot more 5.56 rounds than anything else.

BTW, looks like the Rebel's story about Waco possibly beign a police set up massacre is starting to garner some media attention...

LINK

quote:

A website widely read by bikers called “The Aging Rebel” has published an alternative account of what happened during Sunday’s bloody shootout in Waco, Texas. The article titled The Waco Police Massacre brings out a number of details not previously published and also presents the controversial theory that event was essentially a police ambush.

The Waco police have refused to name the biker groups involved, saying that they did not want to give the gangs publicity. The AgingRebel site, however, went into great detail on who was involved:

The fight resulted from a long simmering dispute between members of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club and the Cossacks and the Scimitars Motorcycle Clubs. Curtis Jack Lewis, president of the Abilene chapter of the Bandidos, and Wesley Dale Mason, the chapters’ sergeant at arms, were accused of stabbing two Cossacks outside Logan’s Roadhouse in Abilene in November 2013. The two Bandidos were charged with aggravated assault in March 2014. The Scimitars are in the process of patching over to the Cossacks.

Other clubs in attendance at the Sunday brunch included the Blackett Arms MC, Gypsy MC, HonorBound Motorcycle Ministry, Renatus MC, Escondidos MC, Sons of the South MC, Los Pirados MC, Leathernecks MC, Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets MC, In Country MC and the Tornado Motorcycle Club.

Some of the information presented by AgingRebel has been contradicted by Waco police, but it’s worth reading the theory put forward by Aging Rebel:

When the restaurant refused to ban the Confederation of Clubs, police stationed at least 22 cops including ten Swat officers from the Waco P.D. and the Texas Department of Public Safety in the parking lot outside the restaurant. They did not station either uniformed or plain clothes officers in the restaurant.

The shove in the bathroom became a scuffle in the restaurant. When about 30 Bandidos, Cossacks, Scimitars and other bikers spilled into the parking between the Twin peaks and the Don Carlos Mexican restaurant next door, the police were waiting for them. The scuffle became a knife fight and several men were stabbed. When one of the combatants produced a gun the Swat team opened fire with automatic weapons. Multiple sources have told The Aging Rebel that all of the dead were killed by police.

At a press conference yesterday, a Waco Police Department spokesman said that 18 officers were on scene prior to the event.

CNN has reported that four of the deaths — not all nine — were from law enforcement:

Of the nine deaths, a law enforcement source says preliminary information indicates that four of the bikers were killed by police gunfire. The investigation continues and the ballistics will be analyzed to determine for certain who was responsible for each shooting.

The spokesman also said that officers began engaging the bikers within 30 seconds of the fight starting. This has led to some speculation that there was an undercover informant inside the restaurant.

Someone is lying and both sides have good motivation to do so.

I think Hunter Thompson said that in his Hells Angels book.
