"Chemicals" don't really work that way. Chemical gases can be invisible in air, or present an impression of fog or cloud.
But, what you (and retired trucker) are seeing is condensation. You see when water evaporates (a cooling process), it rises because it is lighter than air. This water vapor collects in the air, generally at medium and high altitudes into these things called "clouds." Clouds run the range from white to dark gray or almost black. You've seen those, yes?
Okay. Well, there's a lot of vapor that collects up there when planes fly through that has not yet collected into clouds. Condensation, a warming process, occurs when there is a sufficient concentration of water vapor coming into contact with the control surfaces of the aircraft or the engine exhaust. That process of condensation causes small clouds to form.
And that's what you're seeing. Even if you believe, somehow against all logic, that someone is slipping chemicals in there, what you're seeing is condensation (clouds). And this would occur, even if the evil government/corporate agents weren't putting mind control chemicals in there.
