NBA and the owners should be doing this. It shouldn't be up to the sympathetic individual players.

But, kudos to the man.

Meanwhile Gayle Benson is sitting on a billion dollars and can't be found.

He is a badass representative for the city.

Can he run for mayor? Surely if a community organizing debtor like Latoya is eligible, he is right?

Good gesture, but not sure I agree with his "these people are still devastated from Katrina" sentiment.

None of these players will actually be spending a dime. Trump bailed them out today. Good pr work tho

Pretty strong move for the youngster. I gave up on the NBA when the Jazz left, and took the name with them. This may get me back .... operative word is “may”. :-)

He really is a good kid (I say kid because he is still a teenager). Just the way he has handled himself since being drafted. He had no ego. He didn't have this "I am the first overall pick, its all about me" attitude.. I remember watching him at the espy's and he was there with his mom.. And looked like he was just taking it all in like he was thankful to even be there... But like others said, Gayle should be helping out..
