We didn't really have a good idea of last week's event until 24 hours (or less) before. I wouldn't alter anything until I absolutely had to... but always have a plan just in case.
Honestly at this point it's just fun stuff to look at and project. I wouldn't put too much stock into things until there's multiple models agreeing and the NWS buying in.

You are correct. the Rossby Waves of ridges and troughs ensure warming (greater heights) and cooling and divergence with troughs.

So far it seems like we're talking about an event on 22nd-24th, but is there also another storm system right behind that? Past few runs have something on the 27th as well such as this. I know it's even further out, but it'd be nice to know if that whole week is going to be a shitshow
