I've got a consulting job that they don't care when I go as long as my work is done. I just typically like to go once a week to stay on top of things. They're not my boss in reality and my boss is fine if I skip a week.

Sorry your boss is an arse. Safe travels if you have to go in.

One last round coming in. Returns are getting into the yellows. Suspect it's more sleet with a bit of snow mixed in.

It's almost done where I am according to the NWS radar but still heading east.

So a low of 15 with a high of 36 tomorrow -- about 5 hours above freezing. Will roads thaw out? And low tomorrow here is 20. Nasty.

I just dont see it happening. I think it will struggle to hit 36 tomorrow.

My count boss wants us there at 9 tomorrow. I plan on calling him at 8 before he leaves home and seeing if his dumb arse is still trying to drive in.

So roads will or won't thaw at some point tomorrow? We're looking at schools being closed Thursday too?

Possibly a later start? No sauces, just proposing an idea.

If we barely hit over 36 it will be extremely difficult and take much more time to thaw.

I'm thinking we barely get above freezing and everything refreezes. Making Thursday a half (late open) day.

Uptown Nola. Just walked out to my car and everything has a layer of ice. Already planning on getting up extra early to try to beat all the traffic tomorrow going to work. Gonna be a mess

This is what I am thinking but they will take their time in making that decision.

I think the sun and wind will dry things out tomorrow eventually to prevent a refreeze

According to jay grimes earlier tonight he said it’s supposed to be sunny tomorrow so the group temps should get above freezing before the actual temps allowing for the roads to thaw

The problem is even if it gets above freezing to melt the snow and ice it won't be enough to evaporate all the moisture off the surfaces then it refreezes tomorrow night.

Eh, that's a good point. Sun, dry air, wind. Might not be too bad after all.
