I am at Highland and Bluebonnet and it is basically all snow. The snow is so small and powdery though that you have to go out there because it almost looks like sleet from the windows. That has to be due to the low temps. It very rarely snows here at this low of a temp. I wonder if anyone has looked back to see what is the lowest temp we have had snow because this might be approaching it. This snow blows around but it can also pile up if the winds calm. We don't have time on our side but I am hoping we can get everything coated before it stops. The street is completely white, I can't imagine what the interstate is like.

I can't believe it was sleeting at 25. That dense cold air undercut errything.
Still a steady snow falling here. Road is white. Grass about covered. Going to be incredibly cold tonight.

So blue means nothing on radar, right? I've been under blue for hours and got only 15 minutes of snow and the rest, sleet mixed with rain.

Yeah. It seems to be a combo of temp and wind that is breaking the big flakes in to powder. I still see large flakes every now and then. I'm in West Baton Rouge parish.

Same for mine. Stayed out for 10 minutes until I got tired of waiting by the door

Nothing in Mandeville. Is it going to make it here or die out beforehand?

Blue means the radar thinks snow. I just look at the traditional radar. Typically if it shows green, something is falling.
Looks like last round of the night is incoming and a healthy looking band at that. South BR makes its run at an inch with this bit incoming.

Hi.
My fluff dog likes this weather too. He’s part husky.

I swear it cant make up its mind. I just walked back out and seems to have gone back to sleet again.

It looks like BR is going to get some pretty good snow in an hour or so. A heavier area looks like it's moving across the spillway towards BR.

Have two that are 4wd.
Well travelled roads are okay. Back roads out by me are sheet ice. And it is steadily sleeting.
Side by side for chocolate milk was a BAD choice.
