Has LP finally decided to close school tomorrow or are they still up in the air?

Announced earlier - closed tomorrow but full day on Thursday (was supposed to be 1/2 day Thursday).

It’s odd that it’s snowing right now but the forecast says 0% chance of precipitation beginning at 5.

G/f just got told her restaurant will be open tonight and she has to drive to work... I'm pissed

Some restaurants locally might shut down earlier

The wet roads will eventually freeze

Tell her to slow way down and avoid bridges if at all possible. Drive deliberate and don't slam on breaks if she goes sliding. The basic winter driving stuff.

Your app knows nothing.

Watch the radar (which should be performing better as the moisture is filling in) and look outside.

Little icicles starting to form from my roof. Can't see any sleet or snow so I am assuming just freezing rain right now but I am not stepping outside to check on this. I stayed up ALL night and day during the last event, watched it change from rain to snow before my very eyes. I don't need to see anything this go round except a few flakes if they fall. So someone keep me updated when you see snow around Highland and Bluebonnet. Thanks, baws.

This should be illegal

Wait is this illegal?

Are you using some random pic because that pic is taken in full on sunshine. Clearly not from right now.

That's about all you can do, unless you want to drive her yourself. Also, I'd recommend she bring a nice jacket, some gloves, a blanket, and even a candle just in case. Hope she doesn't have to be out too late man.

Is the moisture line moving west to east or north to south.

Pat Shingleton just said "at most, light accumulation and isolated slick spots." Not saying he will be wrong because this certainly isn't a repeat of last time but I figured we could quote it just in case.
