Daycare is closed tomorrow. My internet is down. All day home alone, 2 kids, no tv.

That's great news. You don't have to compete with the TV or iPad wifi for their time. You are so blessed it worked out that way. Think of the memories you can create tomorrow.

It may very well but it will be NOTHING like December’s snowfall was. I think we’ll get a bit of sleet then maybe an hour or so of light snow flurries tomorrow afternoon, right around 5:00.

The thing we need to be mindful of is regardless of how much precip falls, nearly 100% of it will NOT melt for 18-20 hours.

How near to 100% are we talking about here? Like 90% won't melt? 92%? Over 99%?

0z GFS coming in much wetter.

Big changes this run vs the last couple of days. If the rest of the globals come in like this, all of South Louisiana might be in for some winter precip.

GFS that just came out shows sleet starting in BR a little before noon, changing over to snow pretty quickly, and winding down around 9pm.

Also just read that there’s more of a SW to NE flow instead of a flat line of precip.
Did you see that?

But staying on the ground through the night. That would make for a nightmarish traffic conditions Wednesday morning.

Look at the picture posted, it's clearly got a lot more in the SW and connecting to the line in the NE. That would obviously yield more snowy stuff here, but uh...I'm not sure exactly what's driving that change.

Will the latest GFS and HRRR be enough to convince NWS New Orleans to extend the Winter Weather Advisory to the greater EBR area? That GFS would shut us down through Wednesday and depending on accumulations it could lower our high on Wed and leave us stuck below freezing.
