years ago I was in the DFW airport waiting for a flight home, late at night, not a lot of people in the airport, as I was walking to my gate I saw a man walking in the opposite direction, unmistakably Gerald Ford, the only person with him was an airline VIP escort, no SS, I stopped to shake his hand and the escort didn't won't him to be bothered but he said it's alright and we shook hands, talked a bit, and went our separate ways, on the other end of the spectrum I've done press charters during Clinton's re-election campaign and nobody's getting anywhere near a sitting president without being frisked, scanned and sequestered first

Why is this news exactly? He's tried this "Everyman" shtick many times before and no one buys it. He's also not over the moon wealthy like the Obamas and Trump.
