'Better not get up': Man chokes out pregnant woman in 'headlock' attack

A Florida man was arrested last week for allegedly yanking a pregnant woman by the hair and choking her repeatedly "in a headlock fashion" after getting into an argument with the mom-to-be "over noodles and her attitude," cops say.

Jonathan Webster, 38, is charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, tampering with a witness, resisting an officer without violence, and being a fugitive from justice after he attempted to flee the scene of the Aug. 14 attack on foot, according to his arrest affidavit.

The victim told cops that she and Webster — who is currently on probation for manslaughter — allegedly got into a dispute in the kitchen of a Port Charlotte residence "they just moved to last week" with several others described as their "family," the affidavit says. The extent of their relationship is unclear.

"Victim advised this argument began over noodles and her attitude, which got heated," the affidavit alleges. "Victim advised Jonathan began pressing his fingers against her head in an angry manner while yelling. Jonathan then grabbed her hair and began pulling it, this was on both sides of her head. The rest of the family then began trying to separate them."
