I have an extended family member who is a wonderful person and who struggles to support their family. I know they would turn down my help if they knew it was from me, but I’d love to help them anonymously. What’s the best way to do this?

Cashier's check. Then ask to have it deposited in said account.

St. Nicholas, Patron Saint of Prostitutes
quote:

Saint Nicholas coming to the aid of a poor man who could not afford the dowry for his three daughters. Without funds, the daughters were destined to remain unmarried and would likely need to turn to a life of prostitution. Upon hearing of their plight, Nicholas decided to help the first daughter when she came of age. To avoid embarrassing the family with a public display, Nicholas went to the house under the cover of night and threw a purse filled with gold through a window for the family to discover the next morning.

Not sure how much you are talking but you can always mail a package with a WalMart card in it
A 500.00 card would buy a lot of groceries

You can always ask another family member to give it to them for you anonymously

Mail it to them. Postal money order. You can sign it John Smith...unless your name is John Smith. Then you better use Joe Jones.

This sounds like a possibility. Does anybody know if there’s a fee on prepaid Visa cards?

You can mail them cash without a return address right? That would be risky, but put paper in the envelope to hide the cash so no one will see it before it arrives.

Drop off an envelope that has "For: __________" Don't write it they might recognize your hand writing, get someone you know to write it or print it out..

Do something that will throw them off when trying to figure it out. Go buy a pink envelop, get a girl to write it so it will have a woman's hand writing. Do something that would be out of character for you to do.

One could use UPS OR fedex. Less risk.
