Are you the opposite of mechanically inclined because this is so simple that I can’t believe you are asking. Get a couple of dudes, pick up each side and put sliders under the legs and then slide it over. Remove sliders. Get a big level and check / correct level at new location.

no i am not. But you must have zero knowledge on slate pool tables. I would rather be careful than sorry when dealing with a $4000 table

Get your husband and one of his buddies to move it

Do what I said. Pick up one side at a time with two dudes, and put the table on towels or moving blankets. Lift from just inside of the legs so you don't taco the table. Do not pick up the ends

If you are such an expert why the hell are you asking? I have a Bally tournament table from the 60’s with a three piece slate that is about 2” thick. I can’t even guess what this monster weighs. Over a thousand pounds at least. You know how I know? Because I have dissassembled, moved and reassembled it three times. I even did the felt on it last time. So maybe I know something, you apparently don’t and need to quit asking dumb questions if you are going to cast aspersions when I ask a legit question. Because a mildly mechanically inclined person would be able to figure this task out. If you aren’t mechanically inclined then call a service to do it.

I'll give you $1500 and move it out of your house. Your table is much nicer than mine, but I use mine regularly.

Moved dad's 8' with one inch slate with 4 men plenty of times. If you can't find enough people you can buy furniture skates at harbor freight.

Use a jack to lift one side at a time and slide something under the legs that allow it to be rolled or slid to wherever you want it. May want brace it with some 4x4s or something like that.
ETA: if you have access to a pallet jack, that would be ideal.

well if i had asked about taking one apart you would be right on target. but i didnt.. thanks for tarding. I need to move the table without taking it apart, and asked the best way without messing up the slate on it. No one said i was a pool table moving expert, hence the reason i asked the question. And beings you are some expert i would think you would have an answer, instead of giving your expert pool assembly history

thanks will try the sliders, just wasnt sure it was safe to lift one end at a time without messing something up. Thanls for all suggestions.

I’d love to help out. You have a couch I could crash on a few nights?

I would attempt this. an 8ft isn't overly heavy.

One side at a time, not one end at a time.

This is the answer. My wife found these and we have a couple different sizes. I moved a gun safe fully loaded just the other day.
