I have my prescription, but I'm not interested in paying traditional retail prices.

Is there a reputable place online that has a good selection of glasses?

TIA

Try Costco. I'm a member but never checked out their eye care desk.

I like to buy higher quality lenses and frames, but I only go every two years. Good frames and lenses can get pretty expensive. Going with transition lenses next, keeping the same frames.

i go to visionworks..yes its a scam but if you stick with the basics, insurance will cover the lenses and 2 sets of frames.

i cant do online because i probably try on 30 pair in the store before i find one that looks ok on my face.

cant imagine trying to preview 30 frames online by sending them back one at a time.

Anywhere online. I actually got my contacts and glasses with a Groupon a few months ago.

I have used Warby Parker and Zenni. My Zennis are cheap and have not held up as good as my Warby Parker glasses. Warby styles are a bit hipsterish but they have some more conservative styles, free home try on program and free replacement for the first 12 months. I will probably stick with them due to their speed and customer service.

You can upload a photo and try glasses on virtually, which is actually useful. However, if you have a general idea of what frame types look good, AND you are familiar with how they're measured (width/height/bridge) you should be able to order blind with confidence.

ETA: Zenni and Eyebuydirect have been very very good for me.
