Cheaper than Ashely and World Market?

Ashley isn't the cheapest, granted it isn't expensive at all.

World Market is pretty much the cheapest place you can get "good looking" furniture. And the selection is limited.

Craigslist

If you ate looking for good quality all wood, spend some time looking on the Craigslist. Anything that is not particle board our made in China is going to be expensive. There is some quality stuff out there on Craigslist. Good luck.

You're already looking at the cheap places...

Havertys is decent.

All furniture worth a shite is expensive. You will always pay more than expected.

Walmart and Target online. Otherwise, spend the cash. You get what you pay for. I like West Elm, Crate and Barrel, Room & Board. Compare those places with your discount stores and you won't think it is expensive anymore.

Craigslist. The hell with buying new furniture. Depreciates worse than a car.

Who wants to lay on a couch some stranger has been farting on?

Being as the shite has a 300-400% markup id say a garage sale or estate sale is your best bet.

No shite. I could see buying tables or frames used, but nothing involving cushioning.

The best place to buy good furniture at a cheap price is a flea market - you may want to look around at different ones as they vary. One problem is you have to keep checking back as it isn't a retail store. So they don't have consistent stock. But you can get much better deals through them.

You can also check Estate Sales. You will need to get there early and they are picked through by people doing the same thing or by Flea Market sellers.

Do NOT buy a sofa from Rooms To Go.

I bought a $1000 leather sofa from there that was beautiful and falling apart after 12 months.
