Damn they are expensive at the dealer!

Most of the locksmiths that service dealerships will do it on the side at half the cost, or less.
Go ask one of the salesbros what day the locksmith comes by and who it is and go from there.

random mexican or middle eastern locksmith in a mini mall.
i've had several done for next to nothing.
seriously, give a couple a call. they have zero fricks to give and won't make you jump through hoops like a dealer.

ACE doesn’t program them. Check duplicates to unlock the doors

Do you have the second key your car came with or no?
Much easier to do yourself if you have one

Must be a poor
I haven't had a car that used a key to start it in years
Doesn't matter what they cut

Stine has them for $150. They program it for you in the parking lot.

What model/make of vehicle?
My GMC truck lists the programming procedure in the manual. I bought a fob online for $99 from Car & Truck Remotes and programmed myself.
ACE cut the “high security” key, but forced me to order the blank from them. So that was another $50 or so (blank + cutting).
Overall, much better than the $350 the dealer wanted.

That’s where I went. Less than half the cost of the dealership quote.

Programming mine involved turning the car on for ten minutes turning it off and repeating this 3 times.

Buy off Ebay. Have it cut at a locksmith. You may need to have one working key and fob to program.
