I'm not a suit whore so I just buy mine at Men's Warehouse and get them when they are on clearance. I think I bought 3 of them for $89 a piece and they were normally $650 a piece. If you are a skinny guy the Dillard's outlet at Cortana has some nice Ted Baker and Hart Schaffner Marx for around $280 to $300.

only wearing 5 or so times per year, I would hit the men's warehouse...you should be able to get a decent suit pretty easily there for your budget....probably will be able to throw in a couple of shirts & ties too.

Online at Suit Supply. Top notch suits for the price and if you're unsure about size, they let you pick 3 different sizes and send back the ones that don't fit.

where would one look for a tailor? yellow pages. Does it really make that much difference in appearance. Average cost for tailor?
