I'm still using HTC One on the Sprints Network.
Solid phone and great camera. Battery life could be better, but this could apply to most phones.
For in-between charges, I use this when I am on the road:

Don't think the Nexus is on AT&T
I have it on AT&T. It's unlocked and for any GSM carrier.

I'm only disappointed with the Windows Marketplace. I've been leaning toward trying out Android because I've had an iPhone and a Windows phone. Trying to broaden my horizons and shite
So, for the sake of not pointing out the obvious best iOS phone and Windows phone in the market, seems like you want the best Android phone/comparison. Problem here is that there are so many to choose from. Whether it's actually a 'problem' really is just if you don't want to think about what you want. So:
Want a great screen on a bigger phone? Samsung Galaxy s4 for a big screen. Note 3 for a huge one
Want the 'purest' experience with no bloat ware or added stuff + the first to get updates? Nexus 5.
HTC one is very high-end as well. Close to comparable with the Nexus 5 (though support will be given to the Nexus over the HTC)
That is about as 'simple' as it can get. CNET calls the Nexus 5 the best Android phone on the market.
Are you trying to compare across the major OSes (5s vs Lumia 1020 vs Nexus 5) or asking simply the best phone around? The best will be subjective as heck. The best within a major OS will be much easier to determine. From there, it's which operating system you want to use every day.

Makes sense if you are going to keep the phone a while. It sucks if you can't swap out a battery when it goes bad and stops holding a charg
Dude. Describe a while in phone lives.

yeah, who wants expandable memory

Just want some opinions on phones from people who own them. I've never had an android phone so I'm really new to looking through their product.

My phone has 64g of internal memory. Tell me now, how expandable is that memory in your phone you say?
Posted on 1/28/14 at 4:41 pm to HeadyMurphey
Google hates expandable memory.

nexus 5 is the best android phone out. Grab the 32gb one from google for $400 and call it a day

LG G2 is where I would look. Co-worker who buys/sells phones constantly has tried them all and has settled on the G2. I trust his opinion.

Like my HTC One so much bought the GF one too. I get about a day and a half on a full charge.

I don't know how I feel about dropping $400

If I were you, I would watch a YouTube video about Android 4.4. See what it offers. Can it do more than the other two? Yes. Do you need what it offers? From what it is sounding like (you aren't really asking about specific capabilities inside of it), you don't. Based on your first post, your experience will likely be driven by the app support. You can search google's App Store (play dot google dot come should get you there I believe) online and see if what you want is there. If it is, you're kind of set. If it isn't, you'll be where you're at with your windows phone- a damn fine electronic device that looks pretty but isn't going to do what you want it to do.
And most manufacturers of android devices do include some software on their phones. They're usually things like custom media players and video editors and that sort of thing. They're likely not going to change your overall experience.

But it's unlocked, and thus holds it's value for resell later and works on any carrier and doesn't lock you into a contract.
So if you tried it and didn't like it, you could just sell it and get something else since you wouldn't be tied down to a contract.
$400 is actually a bargain for the Nexus 5, or $349 if you get the 16GB one.
The Nokia 1020 is $600 unlocked for example.

I was not expecting a Blackberry recommendation
Posted on 1/28/14 at 5:00 pm to UltimateHog
Yeah it looks like a great phone but to be honest, I don't really see myself selling a phone. I buy them and use them until they're destroyed or not very functional anymore.

I was wondering if there were any other users on TD. I'm rocking the Q10. Love it!

Yea no shite. It might not matter to most but it is a huge plus for me. Not to mention that adding flash memory is cheaper than upgrading to a 64GB iPhone or something.

16 on the phone and another 64 on the SD, I can swap that out for 64 more, or swap that out for 64 more, etc.
So my memory options are pretty unlimited.
