Team Dodgeball ended friendships in elementary - middle school.

I've held grudges since 1996 because of that fricking game. There are people I still refuse to speak to.

You try so hard to be miserable on here. No one cares that you hate your shitty life.

ETA: Bombardment was the GOAT PE game.

Kickball.

With "red hots".

To the un-initiated, "red hots" means you could throw the ball dodge-ball style at the batter (or any baserunner), and they'd be out (after they'd kicked it).

Runners had to be VERY aware. Also, if you were the catcher, you could choose to touch someone with the ball or nail them with it.

Is this where one team one run a gauntlet while the other team threw the balls at them from each side?

We called it "Murderball".

Dodgeball at PE

We played more politically incorrect and violent games at recess. The names of the games alone would be considered offensive today

We played a variation of dodge ball our PE teacher called "battle ball". Pretty much the exact same rules of dodge ball, but add in a traffic cone with a tennis ball on top of it on the back line, first team to either eliminate all players or knock the tennis ball off the cone won. You could also guard the cone.
