And take your Mercedes to the dealer for service as long as it is in waranty.

depends what class of car....

for the entry level, bmw 3 series beats a mercedes c class, but i'd say an audi S4 is the best bang for your buck.

midsize the mercedes e class is probably the best bet.

high end the mercedes S is the gold standard.

as somebody said, you don't want to own any of these out of warranty. i have a mercedes c coupe and the maintenance isn't bad at all, i have all the services done at a local mechanic.

I like Audi and BMW.

Have had a BMW 540 sport, bad arse looking car, fun to drive but maintenance and repairs were ridiculous. Had an 05 and 07 acura tl, best buy for the money, drive nice, good warranty, and not too expensive to maintain . Totaled the 07 and bought wife an audi a5. Nice looking car and quick. Its really a joy to drive but would have been happier with an s5. Might trade it for a new s6

I love my BMW, but really want an Audi

My wife drives a 13 Audi S6 so I am probably biased, but I think Audi has the nicest interior of the German car brands. Doesn't hurt that it is fast as he'll and you can drive it like a race car even when it is raining. I also like MB, especially the AMG CLS63.

Back in the 90's I had 1991 with the gas IL 6 engine - put 215,000 miles on it, was a hoss.

I have the Infiniti QX and I think it's the best large SUV out there. It drives like a luxury car (vs Cadillac which was a glorified suburban - not that it's a bad thing just a $70K suburban). I drive the smaller Infinities when the QX gets serviced and I think they are glorified Nissans.

I've owned an Acura TL, Acura MDX , Jaguar XF and now Audi A6 and I like the Audi best out of them all. All were/have been great cars though.
