Old Maplewood. Elle and husband might be selling house in there cuz a job transfer. Very nice brand new. Literally a stones throw from EBR off 73.

Very nice hoods off 73 close to 10 as well. The Dutchtown crossing and old mill area are both good.
A few other streets to look into are Renaissance off 73 and oak path off 964(bluff road). Isolated and should have some in 300k.

Jefferson Crossing is also nice but has multiple entry points if that bothers you.

Eta as I remember them
Pearson Dr. Meadow Brook.
Lake Harbour. Oceanview.
Manning.

And you can trust me. I been slinging pizza to all this area for almost 3 years and have seen inside houses on every Street.

Is there any property in St Amant that is not in a flood area?

Fountain Hill is good, but he isn't sniffing that neighborhood for $300k. It is also a pretty diverse neighborhood.

Jefferson Crossing, Jefferson Oaks. Right at the edge of P-Ville on the BR side. 5 minutes to the interstate on 73 or 8 minutest vis old perkins and highland the other way. I'm in Jefferson Crossing ~ 3K sq ft. I don't know what they are going for right now but if you find out let me know.

Look into the Dutchtown area, great schools no flood zone. Neighborhoods such as Old Dutchtown, Old Mill, Moss Pointe, and Oak Alley. Basically anything around Highway 73 and Highway 74.

Manchaca Plantation / Manchac Crossing off Perkins right past Santa Maria. And no flood insurance needed as someone else stated. Great neighborhood for kids.

I would go with Manchac Crossing before the neighborhoods on Hwy73/74. The traffic is terrible in those areas.

A lot of nice neighborhoods off of Hoo Shoo Too which is pretty much at edge of BR/Pville. I'd look there.

He's moving for the schools, so this would defeat the purpose of moving.

A friend of mine just built in the Renaissance subdivision off the Pville exit. The houses are all custom built 3-5 br and seems like a nice neighborhood to live in.

Yes!

I like this neighborhood also. Reminds me of the Renaissance.

I've heard it's expensive as hell in Saint Amant also. True?

I don't see how it can be that expensive saying how far away it's from BR. Every time I've been out there I was amazed by the number of mobile homes.
