I once shot a 63 at Oakmont in the final round of the 1973 US Open.

Fancy white belt though.

Par golf won't get you on a college team, not a good one much less a tour of any kind

now that is just a completely inaccurate statement.

the number 63rd ranked college golfer is at 72 (golfstat)

72.01 average would have put you ranked 175 (scoring average) on the pga last year making you 170k (eric axley)

PGA courses are set up much more difficult than a normal course you play on the weekend

I don't even think you get to keep your card if you bish 175th on tour, don't the top 125 get to keep them?

The better question would be best round you ever shot using usga rules
Not "bumping it", gimmies, lift clean place, 2 off first tee etc

who the frick wants to play like that? sounds awful

66 on the blue course at Ft Walton beach putt putt. Double eagle on the windmill hole sealed the deal.

I can promise you 90% of college golfers on scholarship do not have a 72 or better scoring average. I was one of them. keeping your card or not is irrelevant, I would gladly make 170k/year playing par golf no matter if I had full exemption or making through Monday q's

not many but shooting 64 will. then if you go 68 68 76 76 will put you in the money albeit not huge paycheck but they add up over a season. Axley played in 21 tourneys with 2 top 25's and 7 cuts and made 170k with a par average. i'd quit what im doing right now to have that life.
