There are some decent bars, or at least there used to be. The lack of pretentious people is a definite plus. And the faculty and staff seem to want to help. A lot of schools treat their students as an afterthought. I'm looking at you, LSU.

It has a good placement rate with some big companies. Nice blend of comp-sci and business and pretty well regarded.
Honestly a degree is a degree and it comes down to your hustle anyway. I graduated from NSU and it's never done anything but help no matter what people say about the school. You make your own breaks, the piece of paper just helps.

it's not a bad school, take advantage of the opportunity, no matter what a lot of people say, an undergraduate degree is an undergraduate degree for the most part, the $ you save on that could be spent toward some post graduate field

I've got a buddy who played football there, he does construction project mgmt now. I'm not sure if he got a degree there to do it or just learned on his own.

I'm a NSU grad. BS in Business w/finance concentration. May want to look at IET. I had a guy in a class that was going for industrial eng. tech. that I've kept up with. He's doing very well, working for Albermarle. NSU is the only school in LA offering an IET degree.

CIS is a highly regarded degree from NSU. Internships available with State Farm and Walmart. Dr. Jack Russell is the man!

I got a biology BS from NSU. Went to Med school. As someone above posted, you make your own breaks. If you want to succeed, you can.

If I were you, I would try to major in some kind of mathematics or hard science. The most important thing is that you do well with your grades. If you major in English and come out with a 4.0, you will look better than a Biology major with a 2.5. Again jmho.

I would go CIS, then from there you can go into basically any sort of business that you'd like. Computer Systems Analyst jobs are consistently in the top 10 "best jobs". CIS with an MBA is a great combo.

IMO engineering technology degrees are somewhere between the associate and bachelor engineering degree for the cost of an engineering degree. It's not worth it.

Don’t do engineering technology. If you’re going four years get an engineering degree. Engineering tech only qualifies you for technician jobs, not engineering level jobs. You can get an associates degree if you’re going the technology route.

Nursing then nurse practitioner. I know their FNP degree is ranked nationally.
