The pre-lit lights are always the weak link. Almost guaranteed to get balky after 2-3 years. Other than that, we dip the tree in the swimming pool and coat it with chocolate syrup (detect gross sarcasm here). I mean, what do you think we do with our tree? We decorate it, enjoy it, un-decorate it, disassemble it, store it safely in the garage. And take it out a year later and repeat. Most always within the realm of normal usage.

Got a 9 footer from home depot for $190. Full and nice looking branches, can choose between white or colored lights, easy on/off foot button, and the power source is the the actual center rod all the way up so I don't have to find and connect a plug at each level. I'm pretty damn happy

Led last a long time and power isn't cut when they fail like incandescent.

I feel bad for people who have to get artificial trees. If you would’ve gotten milk instead of formula as a baby you wouldn’t be allergic and could celebrate Christmas like a normal person
