From 1979-1982, each summer me and my younger brother would ride the Greyhound bus from the N.O. Terminal to Biloxi. I’m guessing tickets were $15 round trip. We were 10-13 yrs old and would spend several weeks in Gauthier, MS with my friend at the time. We brought a duffle bag of clothes and carried on our Benjamin pellet rifles and pistols. We’d spend time fishing, water skiing, and shooting fiddler crabs. Nobody questioned 12 yr old kids carrying pellet rifles on a bus

I was sent on Greyhound from Baton Rouge to Alexandria a couple of times each summer.
One of those trips, there was only one seat left on the bus next to this really big african american.
He told me to have a seat.
He asked me my name. Told him.
He shook my hand and said "Nice to meet you, I'm Karl Malone"
Pretty fun trip that time

I did one time in high school. It took 3 days to get from Chattanooga to Michigan, due to breakdowns and drivers not showing up. At one point, my friend & I were packed into the last row (2.5 seats) with a man we didn’t know. He was like, “I hate to ask, but can I put my head on your shoulder. I’ve gotta sleep.” We already had no personal space, so I agreed.
Nightmare.

Took the Greyhound home once on leave going to MS from NC. shite took forever, I’ll never do it again.

Total missed opportunity. He had gold teeth, so he scared me a little.
