Why can't you talk in the video?

Well ok, Mr Bad News Bobby. How about the rest of what he helpfully offered? do you have anything positive to say?
My SIL started going on about this last night. My response was "well that is fricking stupid. You mean to tell me that FEMA wants you to leave material in place that is damaged and will only cause further damage just so they can see it? That's stupid and I'll tell an inspector that's stupid. "
As far as I'm concerned, if you are relying on FEMA for money, I'd do everything in my power to mitigate damage and reduce costs. I have zero faith that the gubment is going to make you whole, and I'll be damned if I intentionally increase the damage in my home.

If you didn't flood, but your roof developed a leak from the constant rain and flooring and furniture was destroyed, can you get FEMA help for these repairs?

Homeowner's policy should cover a roof leak and associated damages. You have one of those, I take it?

Your normal home insurance will cover that.

Yes I do, I was hoping to avoid my deductible, since I am unemployed right now.

My cousin submitted a video with talking in it. It wasn't even her talking, some people were whispering in the background for a few seconds then someone sneezed while she was filming and a dog across the neighborhood was barking. They deducted $20 for every "oh my god" and $500 for filming sideways. Their claim was completely denied and they are going to be deported to North Korea to be sterilized, have their genitals tazed and work in a labor prison. It looks like they will lose everything. Apparently they are very serious about this.

I'm sure you wanted that to be funny, but you suck at being funny.
