Now my head hurts.
Time for a wine refill.
Thanks and good luck.

I hear you man. I just moved across the country and got a new job hoping to shake things up. Good luck to you.

She (no pics) asked me to give her a detailed schedule of my typical day. It was then that I realized that I spend way too much time on social media, including this website. I’m not saying this has caused my depression but I don’t think it helps in any way.

This is a warning to us all. Thanks for that.

Keep your head up man. You aren’t the only one stuck in that nasty cycle that you just described.

Odds are, you know the problem and you also know the solution. Man up, and do what you need to do to get yourself on the right track.

You got this

How is that going for you? I'm really afraid to make that kind of move to somewhere without a large group of family or friends already in place. I may be up for a job abroad after the bar exam is finished, and the prospect of moving is something I find both thrilling and terrifying. Did you have a support system where you moved to? I've never lived more than an hour away from most everyone I've ever known my entire life.

I only moved to Jacksonville 10 days ago. I have distant relatives here but I haven't talked to them in forever. I do have family in Savannah (about 2 hours away). The weather is better here than in Cleveland but I don't really know anyone here yet. So my answer is TBD.

ETA: My job is in the same field and I got a pay raise, so it isn't like I just went up and switched careers hoping for the best. For anyone looking to make a move like I did, I wouldn't do it without a job knowing you have a way to pay your bills.

I want to get rid of it, but I feel like I need it for my band and I find it useful for being able to hear about events and local band shows. I'm also afraid that deleting all social media will somehow make dating way harder for some reason, even though I have no idea how to properly utilize it for that purpose to begin with.

If I were you I’d say frick it move somewhere far at least for a while.

No dick taken, it was meant to be hilarious. The truth often is.

I'd feel bad for my band mates since we're finally starting to make some money playing music instead of it just costing money, but if that firm in Thailand makes me an offer, I'm probably going to take it and move there.

I can't imagine Jacksonville being a step down from Cleveland, so good luck

It will be in the summer, but it is absolutely worth it right now. Summer in the Midwest is grossly underrated.

I'll give you that. Chicago from June-August may be the greatest city in the world for those three months.

Not trying to be a dick here, but is Cleveland really considered the Midwest?

The midwest is pretty much everything north of Arkansas/the Ohio River, East of the Rocky Mountains, and west of the Appalachians, with Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio being the historical heart of the midwest.
