All three of mine start school on Wednesday. I get one glorious week alone till I go back to school.

I think it is something like that. I think they get 2 weeks off for fall break and 2-3 weeks off for Christmas among other breaks.

not a bad idea IMO. Lots of European schools run like that.

It is only certain schools in I think Chandler and Mesa that do that.
Rest start beginning to mid August like most other schools and get out mid to end of May.
