I 675
I 20
I 985

And many more smaller connecting highways at my disposal.
*Dust my hands problem solved. Louisiana as a whole SUCK!!
A city 10x bigger has 10x as many major roads? That’s crazy talk!
Atlanta traffic sucks just as bad as Baton Rouge traffic

Boy stop, It actually moves I can travel 35 miles in rush hour the same time it take to travel 10 miles in BR. And you're going nowhere in BR compared to places you're going in Atlanta.

And would it be quicker?
Based on the daily slow downs/stops at lower bridge and Washington Street Exit, yes.
Even. A 30-45min re-route would clear people around BR faster than going through the city.

A great deal of the blame goes to the late great TJ Moran and other restauranteurs between Acadian and College. They all had influence at the time and all opposed a loop because it diverted traffic away from their establishments.

U people from mobile and Baton Rouge act like you live in some megalopolis city. If you have ever traveled around in the world you would learn that every major city has major traffic problems. The traffic issues in your little cities are kindergarten compared to larger cities

Even Hammond has two interstates

New Orleans has a lot of problems but they’ve done a much better job with their interstates
I thought it was New Orleans’ fault that Baton Rouge has traffic problems??

It should really be a bypass type loop that lets you just totally avoid the city limits,
How many feasibility studies have been started to determine the "best" route for a BR Loop and fall apart because a petty parish official didn't like the route and pull out of the project?
I'm in favor of a plan where Ascension & Iberville Parishes work out a plan where a by-pass stays in only those two parishes--thus WBR, EBR, & Livingston can pound sand as they aren't invited to the meetings. This route could connect I10 (possibly near Gros Tete or Westport); cross the river near Geismar or St. Gabriel; and upgrade Hwy 30 to reconnect with I10.
Once underway, Ascension & Livingston can meet to establish a route to continue the bypass to connect with I12.
Keep as many politicians out of the process as possible.
(A greater need is a northern truck/commercial route to connect I10 & I12 because of the long-haul east/west traffic which is bypassing New Orleans via I12. This won't happen because BR politicians are unwilling to make a decision.)

Why do people think loops are places where wrecks do not happen? The real issue is most people don't know how to travel without using the intestate. You close the interstate and people can't travel without hopping on one exit and getting off the other.

While valid, BR's layout doesn't exactly lend itself to easily traveling on the city roads. For instance, College, Perkins, Siegen, Airline, Bluebonnet, etc are all bumper to bumper routinely. Presumably, clearing out the interstate would help clear some of that out as well, especially as the on ramps are often to blame for the backup on those streets.

It won’t happen because Iberville, Ascension, snd Livingston need EBR to pay for it. If those three parishes could build a bypass without my tax dollars they need to do it now.
