Sid should be recalled
The candidate that ends up winning in a recall race would be even worse

Well then you have no idea how a DA office actually run. I do.
Kinda saw this coming. If I didn’t work for Hillar, I have no idea what I’m talking about. If I did work for Hillar, I’m either part of the problem or lying to fluff my boss.
Anyway, how long did you work under Hillar? If you never did, how long were you a DA/ADA, and was that position full time or part time/contract?

He should have pointed out how whack our priorities are. Perfect opportunity. Instead the idiot came out all gleeful said it would save lives.
He already tried to reallocate funding from the library and COA, and got shut down by the voters. I may not agree with every MOVEBR project/decision, but the overall investment in city/parish infrastructure was needed.
I didn’t love Sid’s comments in the press conference yesterday, but I don’t think anything he’s said or done has been recall-worthy.
It looks to me like you’re grasping at straws because you didn’t realize the Florida Blvd project was funded by dedicated tax dollars when you made the OP.

I guess the abject ignorance on this board has finally beaten me down.
Threads like this one make me irrationally angry.
Almost every man posting on here (not you, of course) has turned into a Karen. It's a bitch fest.
Agreed. Everything about life today is worse than yesterday, Baton Rouge is a horrible place to be, and on and on. The constant bitching and whining by grown men is concerning.

Tell that to the grown man who was father to that beautiful 17 year old slaughtered in a Baton Rouge mall food court.
Apologists like you two disgusts me.

That's a downright Progressive-esque appeal to emotion, trying to make sure that "no good crisis goes to waste". Rational people are capable of simultaneously being heartbroken over what happened and yet not believe the sky is falling. They aren't mutually exclusive.

You live in one of the murder capitals of the country and don't think the sky is falling?
You call that rational?
Damn dude, stop humiliating yourself.

It was annoying.

You sound like every progressive after every mass shooting.

That’s odd, being y’all’s spots are (mostly) exposed to the weather while his is right up front in B1

You sound like you've been asked a question you'd prefer to avoid answering.

Because it’s a stupid question, as I’ve already made clear what my answer would be: no, I don’t think the sky is falling. With this one event withstanding, Baton Rouge’s “murder problem” is staggeringly geographically contained. And because of this event, I think the tide is about to heavily change even on that.
So no, I don’t think histrionics are necessary, appeals to emotion or otherwise.

Then there was a little bit of construction and we were temporarily put under city hall - the first few on the right side after you turn in
That’s the one he’d take - it was temporary but we were supposed to have those

Well, if you don't think the sky is falling and Baton Rouge is on its way to being the murder capital of the country. You must think things are looking up!

Haha ah, I remember that. Parking was a cluster for a while under there

You’re killing it with the false dichotomies, what can I say

They come in waves when someone takes an asinine position and stands his ground on it!
