According to the analysis, Baton Rouge reported an average of 24.9 accidents per 100,000 vehicles annually, making it the most dangerous city for driving.

I thought this was going to be because of shootings

People around here are idiots. We knew that already.

Missouri sucks at sports and driving.

Baton Rouge, where left turns across three lanes from the far right lane are every day occurences.

At least the I-10 serial killer is in NO.

Houston is way worse than Dallas. BR is the worst ever. I’ve said that for years

I have seen and heard about a lot of really violent, tragic, and terrible deaths in my years on the job, but the sights, sounds, and stories from the boys in Traffic Homicide are the ones that always hit the hardest.
Almost puked this morning when I heard the details of the double, likely triple, traffic fatality that happened on 110 just before sunrise.
The PTSD from years of scrapping up bodies from asphalt and tree lines from working in that office can only be cured by the peace and quiet of the mountains.
ETA: The mother/third occupant just passed away. May God have mercy on all of those poor souls.

Maybe the least surprising BR ranking ever.

A poll that I completely agree with.
People in LA couldn’t grasp what a YIELD sign means so at I-10 and Essen, they spelled it out…”Do not stop”. People still stop.

State Troopers afraid to do their job? The Interstate in Baton Rouge is the wild west. You can literally drive 100 mph back and forth all day and not get a ticket.

Yeah, its pretty shitty. Not only do the drivers suck, the roads are shitty. That kind of makes for a bad situation.

Largely a product of zero city planning, zero growth planning, and the worst Dept of Transportation in the country.
