Having knee surgery today, and they offered to write my orders to any PT I choose. My son did his rehab at school after his ACL repair, so although I know the best orthopedists, I have no idea where to go post surgery. South BR preferred. TIA

What you need to do is pick a therapist who has OCS behind his name. There are a good bit of them in BR (Peak, BRPT, etc). Those guys and gals have advanced training in orthopedics and will be more up to date with current research and best practices. You don't want a therapist who has been treating the knee the same way for the past 20 years. I would personally recommend BRPT because they emphasize 1:1 therapist to patient time. You won't get stuck with a college kid doing most your PT. You'll work with an actual PT.

Dr. Easton and Dr. (Chip) Bankston did it. I was in for the clinical trial on the new artificial meniscus, but when they got in, the arthritis had advanced too far. But they were able to fix a tear that didn't show on the MRI, hopefully that will give some relief.
