The Sadvocate strikes again, but this isn't such a far stretch

quote:

BATON ROUGE, La - After a violent Memorial Day in the city resulted in 4 shooting deaths over just a 2 hour period, the mayor has issued an emergency health mandate.

"Starting at 6:00 Thursday morning everyone over the age of 5 will be required to wear bulletproof vests while in the city," the mayor wrote. "This includes people shopping, dining or sitting in a car after 1:00 AM on streets with numbers as their name or streets named after presidents," she wrote.

The mayor says the mandate will only last 14 days and should help to flatten the homicide curve which has spiked recently. "Anyone north of Florida Blvd after dark or anywhere even remotely close to College Drive is asked to wear 2 vests when possible," the mayor said. "If they can get their hands on one of those military tactical helmets, I'd say it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear that too," the mayor told us.

"Exemptions include all elected Baton Rouge Mayors and their families, anyone attending protests along side the mayor, only if the protest has an anti-police theme and contains signage hinting at committing acts of violence and destruction of property due to false narratives constantly pushed by the local and national media, anyone who has already been shot at least once and is able to produce hospital reports or news articles as proof, and the entire city of St. George," said the mayor.

I saw our glorious mayor on Tuesday evening picking up her dog from Camp Bow Bow. It was just me and her in the lobby of the place, which has a sign to wear a mask. I didn't have a mask on. She did. She stayed in her lane and kept quiet. Her armed guard stared at me the entire time, but was polite enough to open the door for me.

What time was this at?

There was a rally last night for the 1 year old shooting victim at Fairway View.

If she went to pick up her dog instead of attending said rally, I would not be shocked.

I know this is a joke, but the Shreveport Mayor seriously asked for 2 days of prayers to help reduce the crime in the city.

I’m religious, but that’s about stupid. How about he ask for help from the LSP, Caddo Sheriff or FBI?

Agreed.

But the optics of her being spotted picking up her dog from the groomers instead of attending really paints the picture to her constituency just how much she cares about their safety during these records levels of violence her policies created.

Where's my vest money? I can't be expected to purchase a level 3 vest just because of a government mandate.
