For those us of us who are old- and cheap-enough to actually still watch over-the-air TV, credit WBRZ for carrying the concession and winning speeches live during football. Check OTA 2.2 for the 10pm newscast.

I actually believe Sid got a decent amount of traditional democrat voters down here to flip.

A Republican winning a major Louisiana city's mayor's race by 8 points is simply astounding

Even while considering the Parish President aspect of this race as well

I do think Dems are losing some of the minority vote. Certainly not most, but some can be enough. I don't know if Sid will be a good mayor but I'd be surprised if he's worse. Congrats EBR
