How big is BR hockey community?

The Kingfish sold out for a lot of games while they were reasonably competitive. It was surprising to see that happen in the 1990s in Baton Rouge.

The games were a lot of fun for kids.

you can't expect to pay $10 a ticket, sit middle of the ice/floor, and pay $2 for a full meal

Did I say I wanted to sit mid ice/floor for $10? No, I did not. A Baton Rouge hockey team would be the equivilant of a Class A minor league baseball team and should be priced as such.

that's a pretty shitty attitude to have in 2022 and perfectly sums up why Baton Rouge can't have nice things

The this is why Baton Rouge can’t have nice things line is played out. You got plenty of upvotes for your post and I’m sure it made you feel good about yourself, but no one is going to want to shell out $20-$30 per ticket for a family of 4 or 5 to see a shitty product. Baton Rouge tends to provide shitty products while wanting people to pay a premium price for things.

It’s a lot like the Baton Rouge restaurant scene. The nicer/more expensive restaurants in BR that provide good atmosphere and good food do well. Ones that provide one of the other fail quickly because they couldn’t do both. Then once it fails the this is why Baton Rouge can’t have nice things line comes out,

Seawolves back this fall. Will definitely be attending my fair share of games.

Biloxi was always a favorite ECHL road trip. This would be a very good thing.

The ECHL had a team in Vegas before the Golden Knights started. The Wranglers had one game every year at Christmastime where puck drop was at 11:59pm. The games were very popular and I wonder if Biloxi would consider something like that with all of the casinos in the area. For obvious reasons, I couldn't see that going well in Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

NGL, would be salty if BR gets even a minor league hockey team before Houston.

If it's too cheap, the sketchy element will be there.

At $20 per, they'll sell a shite load of tickets if it's anywhere near as fun as the old Kingfish games. You can stay home.
