If executed correctly they likely could pull the city bar crowd like city bar did to the office

Shite. So much negativity I didn't see past the first page.
Sure beats that classic building just rotting there. I'm curious about how it works out.

I get frustrated with downtown because it seems like the pace of change isn't happening fast enough. You go to places like Pensacola and Mobile, they have cool downtowns.
Could be worse. Saddest thing I've ever seen was "downtown" Sandusky, Ohio.

that makes a little more sense to me. i originally thought you meant that downtown was the go-to place, not just a go-to. it is a place to go out. i think of it more as a place to go 'trash' it up for a night.

I won't lie.. City Bar when you're hammered can be a good time.
I don't think I've been downtown since last June.

Yeah it does seem like a pretty quick release from hueys then brickyard south, draft house and this venue.

I've always said if I had my own bar, I'd go for the ultra lounge vibe with nice cocktails and small plates. But my arse would NOT be doing it in Baton Rouge

The equivalent of throwing shite at the wall and seeing what sticks

What was the name of the techno club downtown back in the mid-late 90's? The Shelter?

I'm trying to be more of a grownup and not get the level of hammered that would make City Bar fun.

Yeah kind of seems like that to me. Though the concepts are all a little different it still seems like you'd want to spend more time cultivating and branding each one.. But that's just one white boy's opinion.

I hope they name the bar Puzzles.
Why Puzzles, you ask? That's the puzzle.
