As it turns out, a large network of pipelines and refineries of all sizes has its benefits.

Yeah but then you have to spend a considerable amount of time in BR to get the benefit

Even worse, you have to live there to get the full benefit

2020 - 2080 are the years that Louisiana might actually become one of the best states in the union.

$2.07 is cheap...but I paid $2.11 in East Tennessee on Saturday...which isn't too bad.

Louisiana is the only state in the union to lose jobs in the past year.

So being broke is the price you pay for cheap fuel.

Imagine how low that average would be if they didn’t use the Chevron on Jefferson Highway by Bocage in their averages.

I paid $3.19, and that was the cheap stuff in Indiana before I got back to Illinois. In the city, premium is averaging about $4.59 a gallon.

In Chicago a large chunk of that goes direct to the gubment as taxes. It's $.38 per gallon as state tax and that's not even counting the city tax.

And think of all those nice new roads and loops that could be built by slightly increasing the gas tax.

Gas tends to be cheaper in areas around the country that are less desirable to live or visit, so this makes perfect sense.
