You believe all blacks are demanding handouts from whites? How are they demanding these handouts?
I believe the blacks in BR that are celebrating this event are, yes.

They've been very vocal about how white SBR needs to pay for the rebuilding and revitalization of NBR

More racist than than all of the confederate general's and leaders combined.
Who did he oppress and how did he do it?
Do you believe that because something is racial that it's racist?

Are you serious? How did you come to that conclusion?

SO are there like literally only 3 black people anybody proclaims a day over?
As far as I can tell only 1 has 98% of the streets named after black folks named after him.

Yes. I've been listening to the rhetoric for the past 8 months.

I don't feel like going through the hundreds of facebook posts and comments of all the local activists

Not a lot of positive history to warrant any type of day I guess!

Just go read Gravys page.
He thinks the previous mayor steered businesses and money away from nbr and funneled it into sbr and downtown.
He called out Mathernes for not building in nbr and building a store downtown. He said the Mathernes owners only want to serve customers that look like them.
A developer is looking to build something like 300 new homes in nbr. They are lower income homes. Gravy and the mayor don't want the development because it will keep the people there from prospering because they aren't bigger and more expensive homes.
People like Gravy will never be happy.

Why would you need a link? Who else do you think would have the ability to revitalize NBR?

Ironic seeing as everything she espouses is contradictory to what Malcolm X eventually preached.

I don't doubt that there are some, but how can you say that about everyone in NBR? Do you believe the activists speak for all the residents?

Thank God I don't live in that dump. I hate having to pass through to get to work. White folks need to continue to leave and let the culcha crew have what they want. fricking retards.

Reality is that Malcolm X began his time as a leader as a Black separatist. Later in his life he realized that blacks were a huge part of their own problem and skin color shouldn't matter. He preached fairness, equality, moving forward and self-dependence vs dependence on others.
He was killed because he stopped believing In racist teachings and wanted to actually unite people and have his fellow blacks build themselves up with the help and not expect others to just do it for them.
That is the irony of this being proclaimed by someone like Broome that is someone pushing division while trying to claim she isn't. She's the anti Malcolm as are many of those celebrating his "day".
Irony at its finest.

It doesn't have to be done only by SBR whites.

It's not going to be done by anyone. Why would anyone in their right mind want to develop the part of town that is high in poverty and crime?

Never said all of NBR. You somehow assumed that's what I said.

No, but I believe they speak for most of the happily ignorant masses of NBR (which is a very large group of people)
